Alitalia

Alitalia este compania nationala de transport aerian a Italiei cu sediul in Roma. Baza companiei este Aeroportul Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino din Roma. Opereaza 73 de destinatii din intreaga lume, in 37 de tari. Flota sa a fost schimbata, fiind compusa in mare parte din aparate Airbus. Compania este in proces de inlocuire a aeronavelor MD-82, cu care opereaza si in Romania, cu aparate A320.

Alitalia a fost infiintata in 1946. In 2008, compania a intrat in faliment. In august 2008, un grup de antreprenori italieni, impreuna cu banca Intesa Sanpaolo, a fondat Compagnia Aerea Italiana (CAI), care a cumparat brandul si activele profitabile ale companiei pentru un miliard de euro. CAI a achizitionat, ulterior, operatorul italian Air One. In ianuarie 2009, CAI a vandut 25% din companie catre Air France KLM. Compania a creat un hub Air One pe aeroportul din Malpensa.

Compania asigura zboruri directe din Romania, de pe Aeroportul Bucuresti (Otopeni) catre Roma (Fiumicino - unde se afla si flota) si Milano (Malpensa, Bergamo, Linate). De asemenea, Alitalia opereaza zboruri cu plecare din Bucuresti (Otopeni) catre majoritatea oraselor din Italia (zboruri cu conexiune Roma/Milano): Venetia, Genoa, Napoli, Torino, Catania, Alghero, Trieste, Sicilia, Pisa, Rimini, Bologna, Ancona, Bari, Palermo, Parma, Pescara, Verona, Florence, Lamezia, Terme, Trapani, Brindisi, Reggio Calabria, Cagliari. Compania asigura zboruri cu escala si spre Amsterdam, Atena, Londra, New York si Tel Aviv.

Flota Alitalia este formata din 146 de aeronave. Procesul de modernizare inceput in martie 2009, cu introducerea de noi Airbus A320, va continua in urmatorii ani pentru a permite companiei sa aiba una dintre cele mai tinere flote din Europa.

Pe rutele de transport pe distante lungi, serviciul este furnizat de aeronave Boeing 777-200, 767-300 Boeing Extended-Range si Airbus A330. Rutele pe distante medii sunt asigurate de Airbus A321, A320 si A319, Mc Douglas MD80 si MD82 Donnel. Serviciul de zbor pe rute regionale este asigurat de Embraer 175, 190 si Bombardier CRJ900.
